It’s very easy to install and set up your camera.  Just follow these steps

For security reasons, you have to scan the QR code to connect the camera with the app. If the camera does not read the QR code, try to zoom in at the beginning and then zoom out a bit, as indicated by the example. If you continue with this trouble please contact with us at support@hipcam.com

At the moment you cannot connect the playlist with Spotify, but we are working on that. You will receive an update when that option is available

We recommend placing your camera in a central, high-traffic area or near a main entrance, with strong WIFI signal, so the 136° wide angle lens capture faces, movements and with good access to make or answer a call.  

Then you can set up your smart areas, to check specific points and receive alerts every time something happened there. Lear how to do it here 

Yes, all HIPCAM cameras need internet to work. Your WIFI connection must be a 2.4Ghz frequency. If the camera loose connection, you’ll hear a message “HIPCAM connection is lost”. If that happened it means that your WIFI network is down or maybe the camera is out of the WIFI signal range.

We recommend you have a broadband internet connection with at least 500Kbps of upload speed for each camera in your home, to maintain a high-quality stream at 15-20 frames per second.

If your upload speed is below 500 Kbps or if your ping is above 180 ms, you may experience inconsistent service.

Yes, all HIPCAM cameras (Indoor Pro, Outdoor Pro and Doorbell) have a standard 1-year limited warranty. Please read the Terms and Conditions in the printed warranty that came with your camera.

Yes, you can securely stream live video with the HIPCAM app, both iOS or Android OS

Yes, you can access the app from an unlimited number of devices from smartphones to tablets.

Yes, if you want to share your camera and HIPCAM Protect Video History with someone you trust, you can invite them to share control of your HIPCAM through the HIPCAM app. Once they accept, they will have access to your cameras, your Video History, and your other HIPCAM features.

You can review your video history if you have a HIPCAM Protect plan. You can watch the last 7 or 30 days depending on your subscription plan.

No. Your HIPCAM video footage is streamed securely to the cloud, so you can easily view live video. We do not store video footage locally on the hardware, so even if your camera is stolen nobody will have access to your video history.

You can also subscribe to HIPCAM protect for a small monthly fee to be able to store your video safely in the cloud and record 24/7. Only you will have access to your video history using your own username and password.

Yes. To enable HIPCAM cameras to record 24/7, you need to have a HIPCAM Protect plan. If you don’t have a HIPCAM Protect plan, you will be able to watch live streaming video 24/7.

Yes, straight out of the box, you can view your HIPCAM’s live video stream for free. If you’d like to automatically record your video to the cloud and view it later, you’ll need to subscribe to HIPCAM Protect.

During the free trial period, you and other people who have shared access to your home can review recorded video of motion or audio events. However, if you don’t purchase a HIPCAM Protect subscription after the trial ends, you will no longer be able to see or listen to past events.

HIPCAM delivers video in full HD 1080p. It also comes with two-way audio and video so that you can both see, listen, and talk back and forth.

Yes. It uses high-power infrared LEDs, which are positioned so that they completely light up the camera’s full wide-angle view, rather than just a limited spotlight view.

HIPCAM plugs into the wall using a micro-USB cable connected to an AC power adapter. It has an international switching power supply capable of 100-240v (50/60Hz).

No. HIPCAM cameras require an external power source.

HIPCAM devices have a 3-hour lithium battery, to keep your camera running during a power loss.

We recommend that you use the USB cable and power adapter that come with your HIPCAM camera. Different USB cables or power adaptors might not be able to provide stable or enough power to HIPCAM.

HIPCAM comes completely assembled, no tools or installation required.

Yes, HIPCAM base has been specially design with ultra-modern technology that keeps the camera in his place and allows you to move and easily change directions.

Yes. All features (including the HD camera, siren, and temperature and humidity) are contained within the unit.

HIPCAM Doorbell connects to your home WIFI network and sends real-time notifications to your smartphone or tablet when someone is at your door. Using our free HIPCAM App, you are able to see an HD Video stream of the person at your door and speak to them using two-way audio communication. HIPCAM Doorbell will alert you when someone presses the button on your doorbell or when motion is detected.

Yes! As traditional doorbells are typically between 12-24 volts, we cover them all.

Yes. HIPCAM Doorbell is designed for permanent outdoor use and has been tested against environmental factors such as dust particles and precipitation.

HIPCAM Doorbell Pro is IP65 rated (protected from dust and low-pressure water jets) and has an operational temperature range of -20 to 40 C.

Yes. HIPCAM Outdoor Pro is designed for permanent outdoor use and has been tested against environmental factors such as dust particles and precipitation.

HIPCAM Outdoor Pro is IP66 rated (protected from dust and from multi-directional, high-pressure water jets) and has an operational temperature range of -20° to 45°C (deviations permitted to 50°C).

Yes, once you’re registered in our HIPCAM app, you can add as many cameras as you want.

HIPCAM Protect is a paid subscription service that makes your HIPCAM even better with additional features and services. It saves your camera’s stream to Video History on the cloud, lets you create video clips and time lapses from saved videos, gives you a 2-way video and 2-way audio capability, gives the face recognition capability, lets you set activity zones, and gives you improved activity alerts.

Every HIPCAM comes with a free 30-days trial of HIPCAM Protect so you can try out the features. The trial will begin immediately upon adding your camera to your HIPCAM Account.

You can buy a subscription through HIPCAM’s App or at HIPCAM.com/HIPCAM-protect.

If you bought HIPCAM Protect’s subscription it will begin automatically after your free trial is finished or immediately if the trial period has expired

No, for security reasons, HIPCAM does not allow gifting subscriptions.

No, for security reasons a subscription can’t be transferred to another HIPCAM Account.

Renewals occur automatically, and the credit card you used to purchase your subscription will be billed automatically, so you don’t need to do anything. Renewals occur every month or year, depending on the billing cycle you selected when you purchased your subscription. If your credit card has expired when it’s time for a renewal, you will be notified via email and you will be able to update your payment information. If your payment isn’t received after two billing attempts, your subscription will be canceled.

If you cancel your subscription, you won’t be able to renew it. You can purchase a new subscription if you wish to use the service again.

You cannot buy a subscription if you don't have cameras added in your user account, please add a camera and try to buy the subscription again.

You can´t buy a subscription if you have only been invited to share control of a HIPCAM camera.

HIPCAM Protect is available in all countries where HIPCAM officially sells its products.

Yes, you should cancel your HIPCAM Protect subscription then remove the camera from your HIPCAM Account.

Only the Owner of the HIPCAM Account can cancel a HIPCAM Protect subscription. Cancelation is immediate and can’t be undone. All Video History, settings, and preferences related to the subscription will be erased. However, clips and timelapses that were created will be saved for 30 days or until they will be manually deleted.
